Island Insanity Racing is one of a very small number of BMX Racing Teams located in Rhode Island. BMX is amongst the country’s most rapidly growing sports. In 2008 BMX became one of the newest Olympic Sports.  BMX is one of the largest and fastest growing sports in the US: with over 60,000 members in USA BMX. Last year (2014 season), Island Insanity Riders competed in an average of more than one race per week. Races included single point races, double point races, triple point races, Redline Cup Races, and National Championship series races;  members of the Island Insanity Racing Team won their age classes at National Events.  BMX Racing and Island Insanity Racing Team membership offers the chance for families to come together and for kids to be able to learn to compete and develop self-esteem. The youth development, healthy activities/exercise opportunities and a venue for families to come together are our strongest motivations for operating the team.
